Re: The time is coming when the old resolve may be revived Well, that would be something else I haven't done in a long time, RPs. That actually used to be a really big thing for me back in the day. I used to play a lot of RPs and it helped me learn to write better (creative writing) and was just a lot of fun.
It's funny though, in college I finally met other people that liked to roleplay, but they all did tabletop games, and the way they played was so far from what I was used to in the more free form RPs I used to play that it was uninteresting and I never did play with them.

Re: The time is coming when the old resolve may be revived I play D&D with some friends. But it's more of the free-form kind of thing. Without the actual maps and such. It's a bit hectic, but it's fun in that you can just wait until you're turn while other people are doing things. Taking that chance to just talk with friends or do whatever. I enjoy that aspect of it. It's just enjoyable in general.
Also, I'm not sure how much it's valued by anyone else. But I am here to learn as well. So I may as well enjoy what I can learn from.

One of them ran a game that was so abhorrently rigid it was pretty much just a guessing game of what they were allowed to do next in a story that was completely already laid out, down to every move pretty much.
