Forget your individuality, you're a nobody. Walk, don't question. I am catching a hint of bitterness there.  But there is a point in there somewhere as well. So, Icarus. The only tip I can give is adopt and adapt. You dont HAVE to be yourself at work. Create yourself a persona that guarantees you to be "part of the group" and get the benefits. You dont want people like that getting to know the real you anyways. I mean, you've already sold yourself working in the place, why not some divide and conquer to go all the way?

Re: Being hired. I'm just bored so I go on poiting out only what's bad. Yeah like LoF said since you don't have much choice, adapting would be the easiest and the less painful way to deal with your work environment.
Although adapting does not mean losing yourself. Don't start liking something just because one of your "influential" coworker does. Don't change your dressing style according to what the flock wears.
I know I'm repeating myself but man this fucking sucks. If it's too much for you, an hero. Or go take down as many as you can, that's the other possibility. Pop these obnoxious, inane, hollow-minded fuckers with a shotgun and commit sudoku after that.

They're fake through reflex, you just simulate through superior intellect and adaptability. And when you're home you just keep doing things that define you. This way you create a "there" and "home", so you can easily keep the personalities apart. You get only benefits, and eventually it will pay out. Especially if you have the luck of meeting like-minded.
