Re: I've finally mastered the power of caffeine control Nice. What's your dosage? I stagger 100 mg doses by about an hour a piece to maintain a 300 mg dosage throughout the day. Sure I'm taking a pill every hour but I also don't suffer the caffeine flavor/scented burbs. It's like the worst kind of aftertaste in the world.

Re: I've finally mastered the power of caffeine control You'd do better to just cut it out all together and reduce your tolerance. That way, if you ever really need it, you can get a huge boost from it. But, usually there are better sources of energy than that which can be pretty fast acting, though more expensive (MCT, for instance).

It actually works better for those so advanced, though it's probably a good idea not to cut cold turkey. I had a co-worker long ago that had extremely high caffeine intake/addiction (he was above the high end of the range for high addiction), and he tried to just cut it cold turkey. We didn't see him for 3 days as he couldn't get out of bed and was in terrible pain, until he eventually just gave up. If you're really high addiction, you need to cut back gradually. But yea, if you are off it long enough, your body will repair. You can really repair if you do other things like long term fasting and such so that your body can break itself down and rebuild itself.
