I plan on using it mainly as a means to put myself above the competition when applying for web development jobs.

Also Ubuntu is a fine distro, I use it for servers (No GUI) as well as for my home desktop.

Congrats, I've been looking to get that one as well for over a year now. My company is supposed to provide some kind of training or funds for materials or something but... uh... has not yet. I have a book that I bought myself, but whatever.

What did you use for prep materials/training/whatever?

Did you sign the form to get the other 2 certs simultaneously as well (the 3-in-1 cert setup they have going now)?

Also, Ubuntu is fine. The studio version is what I use on my home desktop as well. Others have great advantages, granted, and can be cool, but I'll take Ubuntu over Windows or OS X (are we calling it Mac OS now?) any day.

Thanks. I actually trained with this website called Linux Academy. I'm actually supposedly going to get hired by them soon since they like my guides on bash scripting ect. Another thing I used was Cram.com for notecards as well as looking up any practice tests I could find including Comptia Certmaster for Linux+. You don't have to sign up for the 3 in one, Once you pass the test you can go to comptia's cert site and have them forward the results to LPIC. Once you get the cert stuff from LPIC they tell you how to get the Suse Certified Admin stuff.

I've used Centos Fedora Ubuntu as well as many others. I've been interested in Checking out Arch and Manjaro but I don't have time right now to learn how to use their package managers.

LinuxAcademy I've been wanting to use and asking my boss to pay for the subscription for a while, especially since they also have AWS training which he said he wants our whole team to gain more knowledge about too.

Actually, I've been asking him about it even longer as I wanted to get that along with their DevOps courses, as I was thrown into Dev Ops without any real training or experience in the area, and initially wasn't getting real devops work, but wanted to build the position to do real dev ops stuff.
