I usually keep this to myself, but ignorance is not always a blessing.

Any water source such as pots/vases with water and water plants, are going to attract fucking mosquitoes no matter where. I swear to God, these little bitches can smell water or at least water plants (flower not required). I got one such water source inside my perimeter with the window glass open, but silled. Still, they come, unrelenting. I thought I was fighting a fucking plague.

I even got a open vinegar cup test near a door. I believe that that's where the red dull mosquitoes come from. Removed that one too. It was working to deter them though. The hardcore motherfucking adaption of life. Oh well.

So far, the removal proves effective. Will wait and see if they come back. If they still do, oh fuck. Don't fuck yourself over.

Adding a small layer of hair oil to floating water is supposed to choke off mosquito larvae. Can you conduct some SCIENCE to see if this is true?

that's a negative. there is enough air in the water to grow them.

instead use dish soap, many dish detergents are actually really good for plants, but the cleaning chemicals kill bug larvae, you can also put dish soap water into a misting bottle and spray plants with it as a form of pesticide it kills aphids while leaving the pollen and flower safe for bees. best part is it stays on the outside and doesn't contaminate food.

fuck them over with boiling scalding dish soap water, if they aren't boiled by the scalding water the dish soap will eat through their exoskeleton.

got weeds in your plant pots? want to plant single year vegetables? put the dirt in a large steel pot with dish soap, bring it to a boil over a fire or stove. weed problem fixed! when it cools plant what you like!

Damn, this feels like Billy Mays. Well, losing out the water did leave them drying and dying for a couple of days. Especially if things are very dry and very hot. It seems that they can absorb water vapor during the heat wave.

However, a some (red ones) are coming back. Not too aggressive, but still prevalent. I'm going to use either a mothball or vinegar in cup. Vinegar in cup doesn't feel that it would work on all mosquitoes or at least all the time. Effective at heat though. When the day's cooling down, the scent thing stops. I can see them at or around the screen. I can feel them chasing me, trying to hitch a space behind me.

That's it, it's mothballs (on top of door frame though!) for me then. At least that works despite getting eroded 24/7 (well, there was one mosquito, but maybe the kill process barely started and I did put the ball on the bottom first [thought it works that way, but the vapor can't travel too up]).

Just in case people didn't get it the first time.

0. Remove all standing water sources, these motherfucking mosquitoes can smell like they can drink the water vapors. Go figure, duh. Oh yeah, this keeps less mosquitoes so not 100% guarantee.

1. Put a mothball on top of your metal sliding/swinging gate/door frame. The toxic vapors are not too light and should condense downwards, choking down on the mosquitoes. Don't got a frame to put your mothball(s) on? Tape it up, end of story.

2. If you want, you can put a cup of vinegar near the bottom of your affected doorway. The heat of the day should evaporate the sour stinging liquid upwards. Only works during heat, not sure about other conditions.

3. If you follow the three above steps, you should have the mosquitoes at least will stay away from your doorway. Well, they will kept on coming, but will stay away. Call it temporary intrusion enforcement. Still, at times, you still need to be watchful if mosquitoes want to follow/latch you in, needs a bit of toxic spraying as strong area denial (been doing this before the complete standing water source removal, it's been hell and I might wasted a few dollars from spraying up bee combs), and maybe shake up the door in case these bitches want a shortcut. Other than the possible toxic hazard potential, I would say you should be fine from mosquitoes to bunch up at your doorway.

Okay, I guess mothballs alone won't work. I figure that even the toilet water attracts these things. I will try closing the bathroom window then. Need to fill the cup too. Then wait and see.

Okay, maybe closing the bathroom window when you are going out will do. The mosquitoes won't be camping at your door then. Besides, I don't want smelly smells to linger in the bathroom forever.

By the way, I just saw lucylove1's deleted post in viewtopic.php?f=2&t=16457&start=15 . Something about use of these so-called house commodity (or sex) bot things. And getting jiggly with it! ^^

Sometimes, you have to do some residence remodeling or renovation. Why do people do that? I mean, you open the freakin' door for these pests to come in!

Anyways, a open box of mothballs needs to be properly placed somewhere in the occupied room...

I also did some spice breath on a mosquito, it repel its ass away, I wonder if that could be a good thing for the kitchen where convenient. Spicy snacks alone might work. Maybe it would be too spicy.
