I thought enough about the rural settings of Japan, and how they do with paper doors or what not. Hey, it's the countryside and ancient times put up with it too. The thing is, I assume that there are paper doors in either suburban/urban areas for tourism or cultural reasons. Still, the matter of safeguarding personal property (at the least) remains as important!

Considering the coronavirus epidemic scare, the economy can go slack-wise. I can imagine people smashing through and start grabbing/looting/snagging stuff like a Black Friday stampede. Otherwise, someone can just spill a drink and rip a hole in those paper doors by accident. Even worse, mass something can go wild for the hell of it! The purpose of the act could just be to procure repair/replacement services to those wood/paper doors in the first place! What needs to be done is a change of pace to increase the odds in safeguarding property in general.

Changing the doors is a great start (for easy forced entry and vandalism), but asides from technical implementations, there needs to be a reform in regards to address trespassing or forced entry in general. There can be guns, guard dogs, door alarms, or vaults?

I would recommend to exercise caution in regards to prevent and counter trespassing. Of course, it could be potential business, but there's always going to be infringement or resistance against the process.

I've designed 'Raptor' class drones to hunt and kill looters for this very specific scenarios. They're basically quadruped hunter-killers armed with a set of talons and a pair of M249 machine guns. Once I set up shop there, I intend to release these 'guardian spirits' into the rural countryside. The holy land will never be touched by the savages, and legends will be written about deadly apex predators that mow down entire crowds of rioters like a warrior unmatched above and below the heavens.

Yes, that would probably solve the mad mob problem at the least.

Yeah, but we mostly talking about addressing the issue of paper doors. I really think that some corrupt corporation would hire vandals to 'increase' demand for paper door repairs or replacements. It could be a noobie ninja thief's stealth game fantasy. Either ways, it's more that some prowler burglars that would have enough of a gusto to break through and barge in. The loot be whatever is assumed. I can't say if the missus be taken.

That being said, it's the Wild West! *flings cowboy hat in the air* Hahaha!

WHOA! I THINK I KNOW WHY THE PEOPLE OF JAPAN HAVE SLEEPLESS CITY NIGHTS!
UNSECURED PAPER DOORS TO SAY @ THE VERY LEAST??? Security and peace of mind?

thumb tacks and razors fitted around the edges of the wooden frames should do the trick. also encasing the doors in a plexiglass cover would be preferential to prevent smashing through it with tools. affix razors adn tacks to the plexiglass?

Lightweight preservation material as door? Cool.
Lichtenberg figure?

Cool, it can be aesthetically refined for the poor mutts. lol

However, it can attract quite the attention!
And yes, Lichtenberg is just some name.

Somewhat related to the drone idea, I really like this HF VTTC plasma flame thing! It's so badass! It's like the fucking wall of death! It's a doom plasma rifle/flamethrower come true!

*FINAL* large plasma flame HF VTTC GU5B (35-40cm!) - 11MHz

Note that the radio background noise is to filter out unneeded attention to crackdown on laboratory experiments.
Now, it's not like a plasma lighter, which I don't think it's quite legal either, but hey.

Well, if you don't like plasma flames, I guess the plain old man-made electric arc will do. Maybe put it on them flying drones? I admit there are some resistances, but at least the armor can be electrified.

Musical light show? Cool, cool.
