Anyways, I found...

Hotel of the Dead (HOTDv4.wad), I like this map. It's definitely a hail back on a lovecraftian hotel map made in the 90s. I haven't checked up on the old file yet for comparison. It's like Doom with the Duke Nukem map design, but still retain enough of Doom's mapping standard simplicity.

Alice Clancy's Shattered Dimensions (ShtrDem.wad), mapset with plenty of detail. And some player aesthetics with custom sounds. Quite fair in that department as well so it's not just some texture compiler skill as a visual department ability. Intermission too, but whatevers, doom marine got plenty of action with his ass and nobody's complaining.

I'll get around to reviewing the map with plenty of mods and see if there's anything to like, ignoring the mod combinations (I just do that to keep myself from further boredom).

I haven't tried out Nitemare difficulty for my monster combo projects, but I think they will provide a fun gameplay. I have to try it out later sometimes.

+lode runner idea for doom (not sure about custom placements just yet)
-this is like a roguelike/rpg/dungeons_and_dragons prototype for doom
-no digging and other map affecting actions by players and other classes; that's a minecraft thing in a way (chances are that you will die in such a 3 dimensional space so no can do)
-thing_hate on players and targets with respawning monsters (they will differentiate from non-respawning monsters, but that's a test for another time), ensuring a already alert horde ready to get players and targets
-later on in levels, bosseyes and spawnshots will generate its own list of monsters, adding more to the respawning monster horde
-how to stop the respawn and bosseyes will be dependent on certain factors, if applied
-coins, kills, and exit flags, will be accounted for in a custom intermission
-the Icon of Sin bosses will probably have unique methods for self-termination
-later on in the levels, stronger monsters will appear
-on the final boss level, should the boss be terminated, the exit redirects to the previous level with unkillable boss eye(s); the players will have to go back up amid the growing hordes and meltdown hazards. Of course, just killing the final boss would work too.
-upon reaching the surface level, a final fight with the final boss's forms and hordes on the cave/plateau/temple of doom will ensure; or the game will declare the players as the winner of all maps. Such explorer Indiana Jones mode!
-survival mode possible with multiple lives.

I didn't write this post on the map project topic because it would have been deemed official and I haven't decided in finality. I mean, I got the thing_hate and respawn idea worked out. I can't say to add in the bosseye(s) and spawnshot(s).

I talked a bit about the Spectre game. Well, the javascript browser game is active! https://spectre3d.com/web-alpha/

I think I remembered writing about the cyber tanks as monsters. I meant as a Spectre-like mod! The functions are at least simpler than Twisted Metal series or the sort of vehicular combat games. Of course, as much as I like the frantic pew-pew, just playing Spectre VR allowed me to see different types of robotic enemies. I liked how there are shark fin walls, mobile shotgun barracks, and even pure crasher tanks. No, I don't like the wings of the player tanks, but it's still kudos for effort in the right direction. I want to make a sprite set for these virtual guys.

Unfortunately for me, it's a bit too jarring in visuals and 3d appearance. You could get eye strain and headaches from enough exposure to the game. That sucks. That's why I am looking to make a 2.5d version mod of Spectre VR. Of course, the game does have its lack. The objective of the game is quite simple enough. The map is too flat, it's not really maze, but what can you say to put all the blame on the game? I rather than a bit more variation in differences for victory condition. The openness and flat surface of the map makes the game quite easy (you can jump in Spectre VR).

In the obstacles noted, I will utilize the Quarantine series as vehicle sprites. There will be vehicular monsters testing. Yeah, they be stuck if original size is used. I'll figure something out. Then to work on the behaviours and functions. Best of all, they are hovermobiles! Could make them float.

Another idea is wireframe like in Stellar 7, but I'm not a pro at being a wireframe artist just yet.

Due to the recognition of ever increased use of Zandronum, I will redesign all skins with the optional Zandronum features.

the d monsters project, lode runner idea, and quarantine vehicle spawner monsters idea, will have to be put on hiatus once again. Sorry about that, big projects/efforts require tracking on backups, etc.

Just a quick sidestep. Man, I want to make a monopoly actors combo project! Just imagine, mista monopoly packing heat with dual revolvers and such! There be variants of him and such!
