Now for some less serious notice outside, "Whoa, holy shit" moments. I recall playing a map called Firetop Mountain. It's more or less on what I envisioned to be one of my mapping projects. It's quite the grandeur disillusion.

Well, nvm firetop mountain. It's quite the ambitious map, but given the sector complexities, yeesh! Plus, too many monster count for custom monsters. Still, the sector complexities to visually render! Yeesh!

Oh, I fell asleep amid the dusty winds.

Hmmm... I see that the Doom RPG series is a bit newish. The Doom 2 RPG got some new monstas!

https://doom.fandom.com/wiki/Pinkinator
https://doom.fandom.com/wiki/Lesser_Sawcubus
https://doom.fandom.com/wiki/Watcher
https://doom.fandom.com/wiki/VIOS

That pinkinator boss is like one big tuff pig head. sawcubus is like melee revenant. I'm really interested in what the watcher can do! The VIOS, even if it's just IOS computing, would be also interesting in how it can incorporate itself into mods or tcs. A evil AI? Well, it got to Tycho like in Marathon!

I was thinking to make a james bond villain classes/weapons mod. Man, I love that funny 'I am invincible!!!' soundbite. So funny.

I recently uncovered a find about a true duke nukem tc, but with cyberpunk and/or future settings. The details are one with bright lights, flashy ads, techy buildings, some porn/hentai/hustle/jazz/classical/intimate city music (I really like D_RUNNIN [can I say joule-bursting_bubble_boy/joule_malmen-tease_or_please/joule-mozarella_filofox/ko0x_-_Dancing_In_Slow_Motion/ko0x_-_we_are_flying_grep_edit? {I wouldn't mind a straight up recording of Mariya Takeuchi - Plastic Love though!!!}] and D_DEAD [this one sounds like action movie than scifi, but can't remember the film as original inspiration; WAIT, IT'S *** ESCAPE FROM LA!!! *** xD]), and something about noodles. It must be it, a true neo-tokyoish existentialism (I don't think it's completely cyberpunk in the corporate utopian/dystopian english/european Brave New World context, but okay) tc! AUGER;ZENITH is the name!

I'm still testing it, but so far (up to map03), it is superb. My combo seems to be working well enough. It's a bit hard, but that cyberpunk for you. I might go online with this!

Man, there's a lot of movies and novels that possibly inspire doom.

This one is not a masterpiece, but it's a hit/cult classic. I wanted to make a "They Live" total conversion. It be like, the most baddest ass modern stealth GTA game/mod in the fucking world.

THEY LIVE Glasses Clip + Trailer (1988) John Carpenter Horror

And no, the moonies conspirators are not off the fucking hook! In fact, I believe the very movie hints about them. That's right!

I can only provide the facts and opinions under my personal capabilities. The answers that you seek is on how you would decide. Sounds like a tripping movie though! We ought to do a review, an intellectual review. We can do more. Call it the forkheads (philosophers/scholars/personalities) intellectual/avant garde film/novel/masterpiece/etc (of the ages) reviews. It would be up for debate, only of a different kind. It would be enlightening.

Debate's original form was designed to be enlightening. Debate for the purpose of derision was infect the different kind of form at the time it was conceived. Before that i imagine you just beat up someone you disagreed with that furiously.

So I was playing AUGER;ZENITH, the map 15's pink gate or blue skull key access. It was pretty much like a matrix hallway showdown between the monsters and the players. It was pretty tricky. I couldn't go fast fast on it. I had to remove all the pillars (actually destructible! also contains a explosive barrel, so beware!), lest I lose out on the rocketing. After the rubble is sorted out, I have to make my (grand) entrance to the foyer. Once the entrance shit hits, the (trap) elevators and teleporters are opening. I couldn't just run in either. So the first wave of matrix foyer starts out with the gunners. Pretty easy stuff. You can deploy allies to conserve your ammo for the much more tuffer challenges. Then, the second wave releases the demons. A bit tuff, but allies can help out here too. You can use the observation lounge as a bottle neck and good cover with insight on the battlefield. After a while, the third wave marches in the barons. The walls of flesh cannot be stopped from entering the lounge. When you are ready to escape, step into the foyer. Beware of the occasional other monsters. Take them out first if necessary. I suggest not to approach the dead end elevators for fear of teleport traps and risk of being surrounded. If you want to take cover behind the real pillars, just beware that (trap) elevators and teleporters will happen once again. In either case, I suggest to reach safe cover from the baron hordes. Safe cover is observation lounge and pillars. I can't say about the teleport traps you may run into. If you can, use invulnerabilitysphere item and rocket launcher to knock down the baron football team. Take out any other monsters as well. Once the all the baron bowling pins are knocked down, the fourth wave in demons will swarm. If they are dealt with, the exit will eventually open. However, the fifth wave in an archvile and a few monsters will make their last ground resistance. Blast at the exit as soon the demons are dead, otherwise, it's going to be a really really tough fight from here on out. It may be enough of a desperate situation to bring out the fucking BFG9000! The sixth wave will be around 2 pain elementals ready to send those charging skulls to nibble off of your very last health values. After the lost souls are put to rest, there might be some barons in sniper coordinates lingering around. I didn't mention them first because I opted out to strafe around the center of the foyer room.

It was pretty methodical, and perhap linear, but it was a pretty good fight, even with my combos. I must say, I wasn't thinking about these kind of fights. I didn't have teleporting ambush in mind, but it makes since when there are fucking elevators to bring the soldiers to level. Damn, I just couldn't refrain easily from running into the beautiful deadly room. Quite the deadly rose, isn't it?

So I was playing the dukenukem3d's alien armageddon tc/mod thing, and there's a plenty of monster class/species sets. It even got a 3d rendered of the original pig cop's head (which looks like a boar) so that's good. The next in line is a armored pig dude. The last is of course, is the giant pig in a swat gear. Sounds good. The new grey's head looks pretty reptilian. The new octobrain's look can somewhat fit with the greys. There's even a octobrain cyborg! The new floating commander looks grey good, even if it looks like a floating fatso from doom. The more aliens aliens need a review. We'll see. The bosses look pretty good, maybe something's missing, but I don't know.

I think I have enough good material to make both dukenukem3d's villains and heroes class set.

I forgot some other shit.

About the duke enemies, eh... I changed my mind, again! I dunno, it's something about aliens and mutants and thing like that. Call me a classic, but okay.

Anyways, I forgotten a little map that is quite similar to AUGER;ZENITH, but it's definitely only 1 map, and much easier. It looks on some instances, better. It's quite futuro consistent in terms of corporate madness. Got a very very tech theme, close to space theme, but still modern and utopia. It's definitely is a love letter to cyberpunk genre as a whole and the Deus Ex franchise in particular. It's not going to have the sludge dumpster crap as seen in dystopia/apocalyptic/aftermath aesthetics. At least the work to fix the texture alignment in the matter of consistency is superb compared to AUGER;ZENITH's subpar. Of course, if screen glitch is intentional, I get it. I don't have a problem with software rendering either. I didn't expect splices of images, but I guess it could happen! That's a bit fixated, but you know, you know specialization. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the atmosphere of this map.

Diabolus EX v1.1 is the one, and it's basically a western/soviet version of cyberpunk. At least I think so! I dunno!

GZDoom is preferred, but ZDoom works as well! :)

Well, I'm trying out Doom online on a Linux variant. There are too many variants? Splitting fucking hairs? You bet!

Anyways, the way they go is you ready/get some key for a checksum, you update the package (you tell that a change is due!!!), and then you install it. However, you cannot install in a specific/custom installation path. So Linux can act like a public workstation in a way...
Even worse, if you want to download a specific software version, you can't go in a general way. You got to get your hands dirty and get specific in the commands and etc.

It's simple, but I can hate the conditions in such a way. I am trying to get the linux files to read their own path. Even trying by offline packages. Too much reliance on online distribution. Yes, I am trying by TUI because if GUI fails, it would be the only interface left.

If someone mentions wine, no problem there!

I haven't gotten the linux down so it's downtime for me.

However, I was playing samsara classes mod for online, and I have to say I love the expert design from defunct/abandoned games. Pie In the Sky engine boasts a class in the mod. There's got to be more good oldies about. Even in amiga and atari, there must be something for them to keep on while they lasted. More oldies converted into the zdoom would be a great video game memorial/commemoration. Call it 'not to be forgotten, history in the making!'.
