 internet filtering. As you're probably aware, countries such as China filter the internet in their country. Actually very much so, things that the chinese goverment doesnt like, things it feels is a threat to the goverment.
ISP's in democratic countries such as the United states and Canada do some filtering too, of certain illegal content.
My question for you is do you think the goverment of any country should be able to impose filtering to prevent illegal content from reaching their country?
Myself, I think it's a bad idea because censorship laws can easily evolve into something ugly by certain politiciens. (an example of this is Canada, since some Canadian goverments in the past have rolled back freedom of speech) Though on the other hand it has the potential to solve certain criminal acts before they even happen.

Re: internet filtering. I never said anything about censoring pornography, you're puting words into my mouth. As for lolicon, I do suggest that be censored, since it's exacly the same as CP. Children are precious and they should be protected.
If you read my thread you'd know that I was saying forkheads should have a work safe mode where the pictures in the message body and avatars are stripped out. That's not censorship since someone is choosing not to look at that stuff while they browse forkheads. No one else is affected. That's like saying I'm practicing censorship by using a program like adblock to prevent myself from seeing ads. Or preventing myself from seeing a picture that I find offesnive.
Obviously you dont read my posts making accusations like that. Stop trolling the non spam forums.

You are also saying censorship is when people are no longer allowed to look at something. I was just pointing out that some would argue (as they have in your other threads) that they view lolicon as not affecting anyone and therefore should not be "filtered" or censored away from them.
So I am simply trying to point out that you DO believe in censorship. You believe in it to a point. Included in what you believe should be censored would be lolicon. So I guess this discussion should be more about "how much" should be filtered and not a simple yes or no.

Under the law, atleast in Canada, lolicon is basicly CP. and yes I do believe in censorship, but I only believe in it very mildly. About the only thing that I think should be censored is CP, eg lolicon and the real kind.
