Today I'll be moving the server home to my parents, expect a downtime to be as long as the entire day.
The server will also be updated to the latest version during this transfer.

Server is back up and running in bukkit version 1.6.2 beta.

I fucking hate the new cracked launcher. Can't mod minecraft with that shit. It pisses me off.

Post subject:  Re: The New FH Minecraft Server! (Closed down)

Tonight, Mint chan will go to sleep.

The minecraft server has been shut down and the world has been stored and uploaded to dropbox.
If you're interested in obtaining the server map along with the plugins and settings, pm me or something and I'll give you the link.

Sweet dreams, Mint chan...

Mint-chan. Please rest.
We can have another server.
We can have millions and billions of servers.
Made out of candy and peaches.
But I can never replace you.
Thank you for everything.

Post subject:  Re: The New FH Minecraft Server! (New address)

fluffy's sweet little lappy Koku-chan will be taking over the hosting for now.
This means that we're going to use a new address. The old one should still be working, but It might eventually stop working, so it is better if you switch it to
fluffy.dyndns.tv:25565

thanks, fluffy!

You're more than welcome, Parpol! :face

Koku-chan has been through hell (in some literal sense of the phrase) and have proven her grit. She will not try and replace Mint-chan, she knows she can never fill that role. She will bring her own flavor and personality to the table and will allow you to draw your own conclusions. (Here's a nifty world map of the server, updated daily.)

Koku-chan is a lightly modified Sony VAIO VGN-FE890 running XCP. The Minecraft server is stored on a RAM disk and saved to physical memory by a second VM using differential snapshots. The world map is hosted on another VM over NAS, served from yet another VM running Apache and generated on still another VM using MCMapDZ. Every VM here (five in total) is independently backed up using differential snapshots at irregular intervals (by a sixth VM).

I can complicate anything.

Koku-chan is still learning the ropes of the job, so we'll go easy on her. Welcome, Koku-chan! Thank you very much for hosting our minecraft servers!

Post subject:  Re: The New FH Minecraft Server! (New address)

Well why isn't that part of the server already? Are you hogging all the fun?!

Also, I thought you'd all find this funny. Once in a while I look through my logs and see what idiots have tried getting into my system. My HTTPd access logs are always a hoot. Here's one IP address that tried finding my phpMyAdmin installation for possible exploits. I think this one is particularly funny because they advertised their name "muieblackcat" before the attempt. It would have been any level of impressive if they succeeded. I get a lot of this kind of garbage and have automatic IP ban scripts on my production HTTPd servers. This is from the public facing world map of the Minecraft server. Let me update it, in fact.

They found the right URI but I'm not an idiot so it's locked. It's part of a canned install so while the script is technically there the MySQL server doesn't exist.

It's a client mod, but there might be a server mod which alters the behavior of all monsters to become more "affectionate".

muieblackcat is actually a script.

I'm so out of touch with the script kiddy scene. I wonder what kinds of shenanigans those whipper snappers are getting themselves into now. *Shakes a cane at the whipper snappers* In my day we used to write our own scripts because there weren't the plethora sites to just download whatever it is you needed. Years! I've spent years writing code and compiling scripts into tools to build my toolkit.

Where the hell is my prune juice?!
