Probably a bit more obscured than the online Meridian59, and as set, Amulets & Armor tried to be like Hexen with a more The Elder Scrolls than Ultima (not much in terms of heroic intentions and motivations). Of course, its episodic quest stories are like the Dark Disciples CRPG (which is pretty cool if you can ignore the hairiness of some puzzles).

The sprites are pretty crappy, even far off than the 3D/2.5D models of Meridian59. I recall knocking down some hunters and shit like that. Game's currently free, but I'll do it later. Not that I am that desperate. Check out the old school way on the link below.

As for a Meridian59 topic, I'll go about it later. I haven't delve yet. Nice music though (in terms of atmosphere, but Amulets & Armor can nail some moments themes)! Oh, there's another rival called, Rolemaster: Magestorm! It technically is on the same boat as Meridian59, but I think the graphics are pretty good. Nevermind that, it's just a mage deathmatch session, like magical counterstrike. Sprites are limited to the magic user classes, nothing else.
