Zelda died for me with the zelda timeline and the games that followed. also TP was a retcon "THE HERO NEVER APPEARED!" - citation Windwaker opening "the hero of time left and then gannon came back and then people wanted the hero of time to return but he never appeared, yet in TP the hero comes and fights ganon slated by Miyamoto himself to be inbetween MM and WW in the same universe. and in the game he is officially recognised as the hero. see now that was what broke it then they made the whole timeline center around the new games as some glorified (but actual shit) predecessor to the best games in the series. But for TP to work this adventure could have taken place BUT in order to satisfy the requirements he'd have to never be truly noticed, the invisible unknown hero that nobody knew was even there. and he'd have to kind dope out at not kill gannon right so that gannon secretly doesn;t really die the hero just thinks he does and then gannon waits till the hero dies from old age and WW happens. except they didn't do that. they destroyed their own plot witha terrible retcon, just like Retro Studios destroyed Metroid with a retcon of the EXACT SAME CALIBUR Samus in super metroid says she didn't encounter any metroids between Metroid 1 and 2, yet retro put fucking 3 games with metroids in them in this time frame! AHHHHHHAAAHHHH dumbasses! they also destroyed the game physics and grafted the whole game around FPS. I have somewhat lost my respect for nintendo over these things. i don't trust them with Zelda or Metroid any more. and we'll never see mario world or mario bros 2 or 3 gameplay ever again in a new game with new worlds but the same items and puzzel types, and especialyl not in 3D they refuse patently! "3D mario must be different! it must play different! futurism! never do the same thing twice!" fuck that. that and they seem to be silently killing Fzero and lost a lot of epic third parties that used to be nintendo only like Konami. then they fuckign screwed up with advertising turok evolution and caused Iguana and Acclaim to die out and lose the rights to the series and have Darkhorse comics also lose it in the process due to massive lost sales causing them to have to sell it and then disney got it and... fuck.. now we have a whole new retell of the story with... modern gameplay.. no secrets or carefully designed levels a fucky lame story and AI THAT LEARNS "PROGRAMMED TO BE HARD" (and eventually impossible because it learns how to cheat). oh well outside my rant.. I heard we're getting a Turok 2 Remake, I just hope it's not as bad as the conker's bad fur day remake. |
