power metal corresponds with thrash and progressive. Since you can't really attach it to the other, i left it out.

Glam Metal is much more broad.

Power metal has long been its own genre, many marks of which emerged somewhat before the emergence of thrash during the Dio years of Black Sabbath. Itself has had several sub-genres emerge and mixes. Much Symphonic metal, for instance, is kinda a subset of Power metal, though there is symphonic in other areas as well, to a lesser extent.

Glam metal is almost not metal at all.

Listen, I didn't feel like putting in Power Metal for many reasons. Glam Metal is more well known as the Metal of the 80s (everyone in the fuckin' world knows Arena bands).

plus, i can only put 11 options and there are plenty of other Metal genres that I left out. Goth Metal and Sludge Metal for example.

...Sepultura is Groove Metal bro.

If you wanted a third Thrash, you should of said Megadeth. Seeing as Dave Mustain and Cliff Burton invented Thrash Metal.

I don't listen to Megadeth, so i didn't put it. I figure that in this list I should just put the stuff that I listen to (a lot, i only listen to Megadeth when someone else is, since I don't like them that much).

and Sepultura is pretty diverse over the years. They have albums that are Death/Thrash, Thrash, and Groove.

Since they're known in general as a Thrash Metal band, I put them as Thrash.

I fail to see how they are seen as Thrash... they were, in this order, Death, Death with Thrash influence, Groove, Prog/Alt.

And with they're upcomming album... well, who knows.

I know that when they were death they were Death/Thrash. Although, could you tell me which songs you say are Death Metal so I can make sure?

I'm thinking of editing it anyway since their most famous stuff is Groove Metal (Ratamahata, Roots Bloody Roots) or Groove/Thrash (Refuse/Resist, Propaganda).

But they did have some purely thrash metal songs like Beneath the Remains.

So far, most of their songs have had thrash in it or have been thrash. I don't really see the prog metal part, unless you mean their newest album, but that's hardly prog metal.

but, i would still like to hear what you claim was just Death Metal...

They're purest Death album was Morbid Visions, of 1986.

Schizophrenia came out a year later, and was also pretty brutal.

Then you have Beneath the Remains, which is obviously Groove... good album too. Up through Roots they stayed pretty true to the Groove style.

Now they mix it up between Thrash and Groove with Alt/Prog. They're last two albums were pretty Groovish, with Prog themes.

Beneath the Remains (song at least) is Thrash.

Morbid Visions is what we now call "Death/Thrash". which back then was just called Death Metal, but not anymore. Brutal Death Metal now holds that title. o, and don't confuse that with "Thrash/Death" which is just more thrash than death.
