I play guitar, program and draw crappily. I used to sing but after hearing my voice, fuck that.

I care more about others than myself, mostly from being taught everyone is good as a kid watching too many friendly movies and other stuff.

I speak a Couple of languages, and learning more.

I hate myself but it's not possible to stop that.

I'm getting smarter and more understanding of the world every day and when I look back on myself I always feel like a dick.

Being a little less likeable here, but I don't introduce often. I mostly just comment. also the whole agnostism thing is I refuse to stick to any religion, because relgion denotes belief, and even atheism is a belief.

What hatred? I have nothing against Agnostics. I simply have an issue with the concept of Agnosticism that borders around people being too scared to acknowledge total Atheism and dealing with subliminal Pascal's Wager indoctrination. While I realize most Agnostics identify as nontheistic, their belief structure is a bit redundant. "Lol we can't prove that there's no God, herp derp." Well uh, you can't prove that there are no fairies flying around in your buttox either.

Wammy, I didn't say you hated. And there are multiple kinds of agnosticism grouped into one. Donnie Darko style proof Agnosticsim, Don't believe in anything even believing there is no god agnostcism, and those people who are afraid of picking a side. I personally question everything and refuse to have firm beliefs in anything, even that real life exists. It could be in my head, shared minds, the matrix, or non existent with percieved existence. Either way I live by what I know not what I believe.

i myself am agnostic, although i dont like putting myself in any catergory at all, why the fuck did they have to go and make a catergoriy for no category, anyways, i accept that i dont know what the fuck is going on in the world and that everyone is probably wrong, including myself, simple as that, also

:/ Well, I suppose I simply need to get things out. Again, I'm not trying to disrespect anyone or agnosticism in general. Without a degree of thought, agnosticism makes perfect sense. However, I disagree greatly with certain philosophies such as the one you two are borderlining at.

For starters: the term "agnostic" has to do with one's position on knowledge, whether it is possible to know if there is a god of some sort or not (with "agnostic" meaning that one thinks it's not possible to know that god exists). On the other hand, the terms "theist" and "atheist" refer to belief, with the latter being derived from the former. While a theist believes in a god (specifically a personal god), an atheist does not, as they lack direct belief. If one isn't a theist, you most likely fall into the term of "atheist"; even deists, who believe in an impersonal god of some sort, likely fall into the term "atheist" simply by not believing in a personal deity. Many people here are atheists because they do not believe in a god--it's rare that you'll find an atheist that actually declares that there is NO god, though many would probably agree that the existence of a deity is highly unlikely. Atheism is a rejection of theist claims until proper evidence is supplied (in most cases, anyway, since you do occasionally get the "I HATE GOD SO I DON'T BELIEVE IN HIM" bollocks from angry, angsty teens.
Saying that we don't understand the supernatural is also self-evident to anyone who understands the implications of the word "supernatural." If we understood it, it would be natural. So, again, that's not a meaningful statement because all you stated was a fact of reality, not anything about your personal interpretation of reality.

My point is, The same issue is present with your use of the label "agnostic." When applied to the idea of god, which is generally seen as a supernatural being of some sort, it's an even more vacuous to say you are agnostic because it's...well, it's redundant. Even theists who have faith in their god can be agnostic.

Again, call yourself that if you like. I too went through a period when I considered myself to be agnostic. I now recognize myself more accurately as an igtheist, but I've only just recently realized how vacuous the term "agnostic" is in this context and stopped calling myself an agnostic-atheist. I'm now merely an atheist, once one has defined their particular god for me.

Either way, I can understand why people would consider that label silly. Because in retrospect: Everyone is agnostic about some things. Reasonable people are agnostic about just about every unproven concept/belief they hold. Yet they don't identify as an agnostic. I don't think anyone wants to disabuse you of your beliefs or tell you what label to use for yourself, but, regardless, the label isn't meaningful. Consider, if you will, the following videos:

I think the biggest problem a lot of us have (not directly stated this way, perhaps) is that the misuse of the term "agnostic" is usually used because of the stigma associated with the term "atheist" when atheist is more fitting, only furthering the stigma behind it and promoting the idea that non-believers should be shunned, since "agnostic" is usually separated from non-believers as a whole even though the two are mostly inclusive of each other. And, it's a pretty vacuous term in itself and usually doesn't tell anyone anything about someone.

Though perhaps a better term to go by would be skeptic, free-thinker, or something that expands beyond the mere notion of a personal god. Being a skeptic--requiring evidence before accepting something as even viably true while rejecting ideas that are shown to be patently false--is a pretty solid position, I've found, and it usually fits what people mean by "atheist" and "agnostic" solidly into it, while also encouraging others to look at their own beliefs and even encouraging oneself to look at beliefs that aren't related to the supernatural but that should also be looked at in the same amount of scrutiny.
