Post Google Stadia Cloud/Online Gaming ARCADE Service?
So Google decided to use their cloud-server networking technology to host a gaming service.

Everything would been run through the streaming technology. However, it's still a 2-way street anyways with the client requiring some fast Internet connection. The platform machine required would be a Chrome browser software. You would need a machine that could run it. I cannot say anything about which version a game title requires before operation. Much less if stream is just download and playing media mediums simultaneously.

When I think of streaming, my confidence level in its performance is ultra low. I expect that there be lags due to client processing technology in its Internet and performance department. This is especially true for high-ended games. I was more expecting it to host Atari-like titles since I assume that hosting (online) simple games on multiple simultaneous servers, would be enough of a feat. Think cloud computing as peer-to-peer, but as certain computer functions being distributed online for some reason. YES, ONLINE CONNECTION REQUIRED!!!

True, cloud gaming is just a slice of the cloud computing in general. Perhaps, it's even safer. I mean, things like data gets processed and stored online somewhere, in, the, cloud. Personal information handed over like right of privacy revoked. You just need a hacker/AI from System Shock/Marathon, and bingo, collecting tons of ids like ripping off trader assets from the Stock Market Exchange Casino (I'm sure there's a plenty of mishaps that can go wrong in there alone and not the world). 1985 and Big Brother also comes in this form.

Usually, hi-ended games have their assets sold to consumers so when they have the play, it's right there with them. Problem is the machine performance. Then, the online connection depends on what kind of server is there. Before, there were separate servers serving regions with rooms. Now, there's some cloud server thing, probably to at most accommodate regions with one room. I didn't see to host an Olympics host kind of thing yet. If the games must be downloaded/streamed from the server(s), then I assume that this is a semi-protection watch on the proprietor's part, not that I really care as it is technically an online game then.

In the matter of efficiency, effectiveness, or even economics, I usually think of managing low-ended games for the sake of technical competence. Lag would be less of an issue. Just trying to simulate vector games like Defender, Asteroids, Missile Command, Battle Zone, Spectre, or Spacewar! online by cloud computing would be difficult enough! I would have tried experimenting with a MUD prototype instead. In fact, there's a numerous amount of possibilities by combing the right titles from this list as well!

ALMOST SOUNDS LIKE THE ARCADES BACK IN THE DAY TO ME!!!
